RACHEL MERRICK ART
Rachel is a plein air artist based in Cambridge, England. Each of her pieces is a unique, fresh depiction of her natural surroundings, achieved through splashes of color and distinct, gestural brushstrokes. In addition to the available collections, Rachel offers art workshops and bespoke commissions so you can experience the joy of art in a personalized and meaningful way.
ABOUT RACHEL
Rachel has been driven to create art for as long as she can remember. She has been painting throughout her parenthood journey, which has led her to adopt looser, faster techniques in order to create works in short stints of time during her child's naps and while on her lunch breaks from her work as an academic researcher.

The subjects she finds most inspiring are sweeping British landscapes and tranquil rural locations. Rachel usually paints these subjects on-site and outdoors (en plein air painting) using acrylics, inks, and watercolors. Rachel also loves the expressive strokes and whole body experience of painting on a large canvas.
